This vacancy is located in the DCFS-State Office Building, Baton Rouge. The incumbent will work with the Audit Manager and Audit Director to plan the activities of the internal audit staff to facilitate timely and comprehensive audits and will conduct federal and state program audits as mandated by the DCFS Internal Audit Plan. The incumbent will work independently to perform highly complex audits and will be responsible for the performance of audits of departmental programs, operations and services, internal and external projects with a focus on internal control, operational efficiency and compliance. This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months. You must include all relevant education and experience on your official State application. Job Concepts FUNCTION OF WORK: To supervise auditors in all aspects of an audit program. LEVEL OF WORK: Supervisor. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Typically, direct from an Audit Manager or higher level audit position. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Direct over lower level auditors. LOCATION OF WORK: May be used by all state agencies. JOB DISTINCTIONS: Differs from Auditor 4 by the presence of direct supervisory duties over multiple subordinates.
