SUMMARY Plans, performs, and reports audits of independent oversight activities of vendors and site procurement related activities. EDUCATION • High School/GED or equivalent (Required) EXPERIENCE • 5 Years related experience in vendor oversight or material receipt inspection at a nuclear power plant. (Preferred) • 5 Years experience to enable certification as a Lead Auditor and Certification of Oversight Personnel. (Required) LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS • Quality Lead Auditor (Preferred) • Certified Oversight Personnel (Preferred) ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES VENDOR QUALITY AUDIT: • Selects areas for oversight and develops oversight plans/checklists, prepares oversight activity related correspondence and participates in pre-oversight and post-oversight conferences. Leads Audits, Assessments, or Evaluations as appropriate. • Gathers appropriate information through interviewing, observing activities, reviewing documentation, and evaluating activity results during oversight. Documents and discusses results in the appropriate format and initiates deficiency documentation. • Evaluates responses to deficiency documents and recommendations, verifies adequacy of corrective actions. Prepares oversight activity reports and review and comment on procedures/program documents and verifies licensing document submittals. • Stays informed of changes to plant systems and programs. Performs assigned duties in compliance with designated priorities, standards, procedures, regulations and good business practices. • Provides input to and participate in departmental planning activities. Interfaces and provides quality counsel with customer organizations. • Review trending information and evaluate implementation of corrective actions. Provide appropriate reporting to management. • Reviews Technical Specification required surveillance tests. SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to understand and apply detailed technical concepts, standards, procedures, and methodologies. • Knowledge of the local, state and federal laws, nuclear industry codes, regulations standards and guidelines. Ability to recognize the interrelationships of plant systems, components, and administrative controls, and understand how they function. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • Accept ERO position as needed. • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access. • Accept outage position as needed. • Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position. ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors. WORKING CONDITIONS • Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed. • Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week. • Travel may be required. • Normal Office Environment. Some visits to plant and vendor shop environments. WORK LOCATION • Hybrid/Remote – Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present.
