Working in the FCA Transport (FCAT) division of Stellantis, the Metal Repairer performs body repairs to trucks and trailers in the FCAT vehicle fleet.
The Auto Body and Collision Technician (Metal Repairer - Hourly) will complete repairs and/or replacement of frames and structural components; mechanical, interior and electrical components; plastic and composite panels; and sheet metal panels. He/she will assess body damage and develop repair plans. Repair work may range from correcting minor structural damage and cosmetic scratches and dents to fixing extensive structural damage. Some parts may need to be removed for access or during repairs. Vehicle parts that are damaged beyond repair are replaced. The alignment and replacement of suspension and steering components may also be performed.

Basic Qualifications:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent Certificate of Apprenticeship as an Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer (310B) Certificate of Qualification as an Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer (310B) Minimum Eight (8) years of related experience working in the trade Demonstrated ability to remove/replace electrical and electronic components Demonstrated ability to remove/replace/adjust steering and suspension components Understanding of repairs, removing or replacing wiring harnesses, air conditioning systems and mechanical components Ability to weld breaks in body panels Proficiency in welding using oxyacetylene, MIG welders, and TIG welders Proficiency in body repairs involving steel, aluminum, and fiberglass Experience preparing and painting automotive panels, including mixing paints, using a spray gun, etc. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to maintain tact and professionalism at all times Proficiency with computers, including the use of Microsoft Office Legally authorized to work in CanadaAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
