Hourly base pay rate is $21.11 - $31.68/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

This position is responsible for ensuring an (OEM-quality appearance on repaired and refinished panels. Prepping panels for refinishing and buffing panels after refinishing.

Job Responsibilities

Prep all repaired panels and prepare for paint application

Load paint booths and wrap cars for paint.

Unload paint booths, unwrap cars and untape cars after refinish.

Inspect refinished body panels for proper color match and acceptable finish texture, bringing any quality issues to management's attention immediately.

Prepare the surface for buffing utilizing proper finish sanding products and technique (see SOP).

Restore refinish panel(s) to OEM quality utilizing the provided rotary buffer, correct buffing technique, compounds, and polishes defined in SOP.

Reinstall any parts removed in the painting process.

Install any new emblems or decals needed to complete job.

Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.

Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

2 - 5 years of prepping and buffing experience or experience working in a body shop preferred.

Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.

Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.

Ability to lift 1-15 pounds. • Manual dexterity repetitive motion tasks.

Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
