Responsibilities
We have an opportunity for an Auto Claims Adjuster to join our Berkley One team! You will be responsible for quality/timely handling and resolution of moderately complex claims in a professional manner.

This position will be based in our Wilmington, DE office
Key functions include but are not limited to:
Handle first and third-party personal lines auto physical damage claims of moderate complexity as assignedManage claims through coverage analysis, investigation, reserving and resolutionIdentify and address coverage issues, complete investigation to determine cause & exposure, set timely reserves and develop detailed action plansNegotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limitsEstablish validity of claims submitted for payment through coverage research and contact with policyholders, claimants and outside partiesResearch and locate additional information and documentation to investigate, evaluate and properly resolve claimsWrite denial letters, Reservation of Rights and other correspondenceMaintain an effective diary system and document claim file activities in accordance with established proceduresPro-actively manage file inventory to ensure timely resolution of casesDeliver exceptional customer service to meet the needs of the insured, agent and all internal and external customersPerform administrative functions such as expense accounts and time off reporting as required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience2+ years Auto Physical Damage claims experienceMust have technical, organizational and time management skills, along with self-direction and exceptional customer serviceYou are an excellent collaborator, calm under pressure, possess excellent organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasksYou are comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the organizationYou have a strong sense of accountability, fun and adventure, along with a natural curiosity to learn how things workComputer literate Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting firms.The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full time regular employees.
