**AutoCAD Detailer**
**Job Description**
The position of AutoCAD Detailer includes the analysis and interpretation of specifications, construction documents, and the production of erection drawings and shop fabrication drawings with CNC files for shop equipment. The selected candidate will be required to undertake a pre-employment assessment test to determine their knowledge level in plan reading, interpretation, math skills, and software proficiencies. The AutoCAD Detailer will be trained in the software used in the estimating process as well as the software used to produce erection and shop drawings.
**Responsibilities**
+ Participate in a 'New Project Meeting' to establish the scope quoted, address any issues in specifications, gather client information, and develop a schedule with milestones for submittal, projected BFA date, release to purchasing and production, and fabrication/delivery schedule.
+ Verify gridline dimensions between architectural and structural pages, generating and sending RFIs to the client for resolution of any discrepancies.
+ Review potential discrepancies between architectural details/cut sections and structural pages, generating and sending RFIs to the client for resolution of any discrepancies.
+ Layout gridlines, detail anchor bolt setting plans, generate the bill of material for anchor bolts and imbeds in the E sheets, and submit this portion for client approval.
+ Enter all relevant information into the Detailcad system and generate drawings for structural framing, cuts, and details.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with AutoCAD and AutoDetailer.
+ Strong design, drafting, and detailing skills.
+ Ability to produce structural drawings and blueprints.
+ Proficiency in using Detailcad System, Autodesk software, and CAD.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in detailing structural and miscellaneous steel such as beams, columns, and stairways.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves a structural steel/fabrication shop that produces architectural pieces. It is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. The setting is fast-paced, requiring collaboration with various team members to meet project deadlines and milestones.
**Job Type & Location**
This position is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
