Job Title: AutoCAD Drafter
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading customer architectural and mechanical plans and using CAD software to create precise drawings for customer and manufacturing processes. The drawings will be based on designs and sketches provided by engineers or more experienced staff. The candidate must understand customer requirements through quotations and specifications and have a solid grasp of drafting fundamentals.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret customer architectural and mechanical plans.Use CAD software to create detailed drawings for customer and manufacturing processes.Produce drawings based on designs and sketches provided by engineers or more experienced staff.Understand and apply customer requirements from quotations and specifications.Demonstrate a working knowledge of drafting fundamentals, including orthographic views, standard dimensioning practices, scaling, and both English and metric units of measure.Create drawings that involve checking dimensions of parts, documenting materials to be used, and verifying form, fit, and function of parts in assemblies.Follow direction and learn the company's drafting standards.Develop a working knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines, and various building materials.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD.Experience in drafting and CAD design.Ability to read and understand customer architectural and mechanical plans.Knowledge of drafting fundamentals, including orthographic views, standard dimensioning practices, and scaling.Familiarity with English and metric units of measure.Capability to create detailed drawings and verify dimensions, materials, and assembly fit.Ability to follow directions and learn company standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Revit.Knowledge of sheet metal design.Familiarity with blueprint reading.Background in architecture.Experience with 2D AutoCAD and 2D design.Mechanical design experience.Knowledge of dampers and louvers.Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative environment that utilizes advanced CAD software and tools. The position requires attention to detail and precision in creating drawings. The work involves interacting with engineers and other staff members to ensure designs meet specifications and standards. You will also develop knowledge of various manufacturing processes, machines, and building materials.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00
