Automated Driving Software Engineer
Job Title: Automated Driving Software Engineer Job Description We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Automated Driving Software Engineer to join the Integrated Vehicle Systems (IVS) Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop advanced driver system software in C/C++ and support overall software quality auditing. You will report to the Engineering Manager in IVS and contribute to designing and evaluating the next generation of automated driving systems. Responsibilities + Work alongside ADS development engineers to design ADS systems and software logic in C/C++. + Complete logic development by making design requirements, confirming/testing logic, and ensuring quality and safety concepts are integrated into software design. + Support software quality reviews and auditing to ensure compliance with IVS processes and standards. + Utilize and create support tools with Python code. + Collaborate with stakeholders to create requirements and documentation and follow through to completion. + Work with IT infrastructure and supporting groups to develop advanced driver assist systems and autonomous drive systems. Essential Skills + Proficiency in C/C++ or Python. + Industry experience (foundational, associate, professional, or specialty). + Experience with dynamics-based vehicle simulation (1 year). + Experience developing software in a team setting, creating pull requests, and conducting peer reviews. + Familiarity with Docker. + Experience developing code on Linux platforms and writing shell scripts. + Experience using plotting tools like plot.ly, bokeh, or matplotlib. + Experience using cloud services (AWS, Azure). + Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocols. + Experience in spec and requirements writing and software documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + A valid US driver’s license. + Experience with time-series databases. Work Environment You will work in a collaborative environment with advanced technologies and equipment. The role involves working with IT infrastructure and supporting groups to develop advanced driver assist systems and autonomous drive systems. The position requires adherence to high standards of software quality and safety. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
