Your Role:

 

Entry level Automated Equipment Specialist responsible for the maintenance and repair of automated manufacturing, laboratory and facilities equipment and instrumentation with a focus on maximizing safety, quality, and productivity. Supports automated equipment and instrumentation maintenance activities in support of operations through basic troubleshooting procedures, ensuring the safety and reliability of assigned assets. Performs basic preventative maintenance activities. Daily preventative and breakdown maintenance of automated production equipment - mechanically, pneumatically, and electrically. Diagnose basic automated equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs. Support operations schedule by minimizing equipment downtime. Work cross functionally with operations, quality, and engineering. Evaluate and optimize Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities.  Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities. Assist with installation and validation of new automated equipment.Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the working environment and the site. Communicating issues cross functionally and between shifts to ensure timely resolutions. Comply with all EHS guidelines and policies and ensure a safe working environment. Contribute to continuous improvement projects.Ensure a clean and orderly workspace. Participate in sustainability efforts. Works under close supervision. 

 

Physical Attributes:

Constant standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours. Constant walking to address issues as they arise. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of 20 - 30 lbs. Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs. Bend, squat, stoop, and kneel. 

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years of manufacturing experience. High school Diploma or GED.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology.Experience applying Electro-Mechanical controls knowledge to process, equipment design, and troubleshooting. Experience and ability to become a Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW). Experience reading and understanding mechanical and electrical drawings and P&ID’s.  Experience with EH&S, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.Experience with safe work practices and have experience in lockout, tag out, and electrical safety per OSHA standards. Experience with Microsoft products. Experience creating and editing drawings/schematics in CAD. Lean/Six Sigma experience. Basic robotics experience such as teaching/touching up points. Experience installing and configuring drives with Rockwell Automation.
