Horton Automatics of Ontario is looking for a Full time automatic door technician who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the automatic door industry. 

We supply, install, and service all brands of automatic door equipment.  We service commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential properties (new construction and retrofit). 

 We are looking for a successful candidate who will be responsible for troubleshooting door service calls and perform repairs along with scheduled maintenance on equipment based on customers demand.  Successful Technician will promote our service and products in a professional manner and provide customer satisfaction when taking care of the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Complete installations and service as required on automatic door equipment, manual door, and door hardware.   Paid on-call rotation for “after-hours” service.  Responsible for inventory in a company vehicle.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

 

KEY COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

Perform service on automatic door operators, automatic sliding doors, drive-thru windows (asset), revolving doors (asset), manual doors, and all related accessories.  Proficient in operating hand and power tools. Must be able to lift 100 pounds.  Ability to read blueprints (asset). Ability to coordinate and communicate with contractors and other tradesman.  Must have active G class driver’s license. Physical ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, work on knees for extended periods of time. Fluent in English A background in electronics  A background in doors/door hardware  To work independently and as part of a team.  Communicates effectively.  Instills trust.
