What you will be doing
This position is part of the Automation Group and will be responsible for specific accounts. The job focuses on the Sales and Support of Automation Products.
Identify and target sales opportunities within assigned accounts
Work with Systems Integrators, Manufacturers, Gerrie Product Managers and Gerrie Industrial and Contractor Account Managers to improve Gerrie’s market share of Automation Products
Develop and execute an annual sales/business plan for assigned accounts
Develop customer profiles for top accounts
Work with customers to address their automation needs and to allow for future flexibility
Build relationships with both valued customers and suppliers
Provide detailed and accurate quotations to satisfy customer requirements
Deliver product demonstrations and customer training
Provide outside technical support for Industrial and Contractor Account Managers
Provide sales and to a degree technical support for ABB Low Voltage products including Jokab Safety, ABB VFD and Motor solutions, ABB HMI and PLC products as well as industrial automation products and solutions by other vendors where applicable
Consult with customers and identify new product and service opportunities
Work with Product Managers to identify target accounts for product promotional programs and set product budgets
What you bring to the table
Graduate of a 2 year technician or 3 year electrical/electronic technology program or a program which emphasizes automation and control systems
Candidates will also be considered if they have 5 or more years of experience in the electrical distribution business accompanied by extensive technical training
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Must have a demonstrated proven sales track record
