What You’ll Do

As an Automation Controls Engineer Intern, you will gain manufacturing experience through working with Engineers, Operations, and Management while completing determined projects and applying education. You will be part of a dynamic team that ensures the compliance with Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations. You will be responsible for working with the operations team on a daily basis to learn and understand how the plant operates. Other duties will include:

Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety Assist with developing internal equipment and process designs. Contribute to process and equipment solutions.  Work with the operations team on a daily basis to learn and understand how the plant operates Evaluate prospective equipment, suppliers and contractors.  Learn problem solving skills across broad cross-functional technical issues. 

 

What We’re Looking For:

Junior level standing pursuing Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player

About your internship 

Duration: 10 – 12 weeks  

Pay: $22.00 an hour 

Gain hands on working experience to demonstrate your educational skills and gain industry knowledge.  Develop skills that will allow you to excel in your educational program Get practical experience in a professional environment.  Ability to collaborate and generate new ideas within the team Provide engineering knowledge in order to define your skill set Develop further skills to help you confidently reach your education and/or professional goals.  Work alongside and learn from a diverse group of leaders Create relationships to start building your professional network.  Assigned a dedicated mentor to provide you with valuable coaching and feedback to ensure you are reaching your goals  Provided with a dedicated internship coordinator to ensure ongoing support
