Our strategy allows us to move with greater speed to better serve our trade customers and end consumers around the globe.** **Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Automation Controls Technician position to join our Tulsa, Oklahoma manufacturing location.** **Your responsibilities will include** **As an Automation Controls Technician, you will assist the controls engineering team on controls/plant automation projects. This person will also provide support to all areas of the plant where controls engineering expertise is required including day-to-day support and continuous improvement initiatives.** **Minimum requirements** + **High school diploma or GED** + **Engineering Associates (or higher) degree or past additional training in Automation, Robotics, Electrical Engineering** + **2+ years experience of electrical theory, industrial controls, and NEC** + **2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment** + **Able to work days, nights, and weekends (primarily weekdays)** + **2 Machine maintenance and diagnostic/troubleshooting experience** + **2 Proficient in PLC and HMI programming (preferably Allen Bradley)** + **2 Knowledge of drawings and schematics** + **Able to install and complete point-to-point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation** + **Must be able to work in a team environment.** + **Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.** + **Ability to demonstrate overall safe work behavior; including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines (lockout tagout, arc flash, etc.)** + **Must be able to complete all safety training/testing requirements** **Preferred skills and experiences** + **Knowledge of motion controls** + **Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D software** + **Experience working with 6-axis robots (preferably Yaskawa/Motoman)** + **Experience with vision systems and/or vision sensors** + **Understanding of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and/or Lean Manufacturing** + **Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics** Connect with us and learn more about Whirlpool Corporation See what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers (http://www.whirlpoolcareers.com/) .
