Automation/Controls Technician - Traveling

**Job Title: Traveling Controls Technician- up to $35/hr!**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to install, commission, and maintain conveyor systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and commission conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
+ Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.
+ Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams.
+ Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.
+ Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
**Skills**
+ Experience working with conveyor systems.
+ PLC knowledge.
+ Experience traveling 100%.
+ Knowledge of CRM, pneumatics, repair, mechanical electrical, automation, cabling, schematic, electronics, blueprint, wiring, and preventive maintenance.
+ Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and Rockwell Automation systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
+ Ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.
**Work Environment**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and will be working in facilities such as Amazon, adhering to all EH&S requirements. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift items of at least 50 lbs. The employee will use various hand and power tools and must be able to climb ladders, operate a forklift and scissor lift, and follow OSHA standards for safety.
