Job Title: Automation Sales Engineer

Job Description

The Automation Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes. This role primarily involves architecting solutions in support of sales. This includes collaborating with various vendors and cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, recommend subsystems, and calculate the associated Return-On-Investment.

• Provide innovative solutions to customers by identifying and responding promptly to their needs.

• Analyze inputs and create User Requirements to determine the feasibility of potential solutions.

• Architect systems from sketches and/or verbal conversations and support the hand-over to the engineering design team to ensure the intended architecture is well designed.

• Perform initial engineering calculations with respect to cycle time, strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc. as related to supporting architecture decisions.

• Establish long-term business relationships with vendors and customers through direct, person-to-person interaction.

• Develop those relationships through consultative selling that assesses and solves their application needs using IPS integration capabilities.

• Plan and perform customer sales calls, assess customer needs, prepare customer quotes, and follow up on all related activities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Arlington, Texas.

Work Environment

This role involves interacting with various vendors and cross-functional teams, conducting sales calls, and working closely with the engineering design team. The position requires direct, person-to-person interaction to establish long-term business relationships.
