Automation Engineer
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Salaried position
$1,200 Sign On Bonus
Automation Engineer will create automated systems for use in our manufacturing environment. Will be responsible for collaborating with departmental and corporate leadership to determine existing automation capabilities and future opportunities, creating detailed project road maps for automation projects that support our business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Explore and implement new ways to automate systems. Design and test automation equipment and processes. Program new automated components and/or equipment. Identify quality issues and writing reports. Eliminate defects and errors with machine and process improvements. Collaborating with other business units. Lead collaborative discussions between leadership and key stakeholders to determine automation capabilities and goals. Work closely with operations, maintenance, and technical support personnel for day-to-day operations, on problems, and process improvement initiatives. Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades Provide timely and accurate reporting on projects and activities as required. Provides assistance and support to all Scholle IPN sites as requested. Actively participates in capital planning and project implementation. Actively seek new equipment development, processes, and methods to reduce product cost, improve quality, and maintain competitive advantage over competition Any other duties as assigned by management.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar filed preferred. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Minimum 10+ years related experience and/or training. Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment. Experience with project management. Ability to troubleshot equipment and perform complex system tests. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate well with other members of the development team.
