Job Title: Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Actalent is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our team during an exciting period of growth. We are partnering with a company that is a leading gourmet brownie manufacturer, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for upgrading and integrating new automation systems, specifying and integrating new equipment, designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical and control systems, and addressing high-level maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Integration: Identify, evaluate, and integrate new equipment and technologies to support growth and improve manufacturing processes.Automation and Process Upgrades: Lead projects to upgrade existing automation and equipment, improving efficiency, quality, and safety.Electrical and Control System Design Support: Design and implement PLC and HMI applications to enhance the manufacturing process.Programming: Program, service, repair, and maintain electrical and process control systems.Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex automation issues through various control systems using RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk Studio ME, FactoryTalk Studio SE, and other applications.Machine/Process Debug & Maintenance Support: Provide advanced technical support for equipment debug and maintenance, minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance.Vendor Management: Work with and manage automation and other vendors.Collaboration: Collaborate with production, maintenance, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of automation systems, equipment specifications, and software.Strategy Development: Work with leadership to develop an automation, machine monitoring, and shop floor information strategy for the future.

Top Skills Details:

PLC Programming (Allen Bradley)Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with relevant experience5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, equipment integration, or machine building environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practicesKnowledge of plant engineering principles

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120.00 - $140.00
