Automation Engineer | $85,000 – $130,000 | Direct Hire What Matters MostCompetitive Pay of $85,000 – $130,000 annually Schedule: Mon – Fri, flexible start timeLocation: Houston, TX 77049Direct Hire opportunity with career growth and stability Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Automation Technician to join our Houston manufacturing team, where they will be responsible for designing, testing, maintaining, and supporting automation solutions in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:Support automation during equipment installations, commissioning, and improvements.Maintain and optimize plant control systems.Troubleshoot and resolve emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.Identify root causes of malfunctions and implement corrective actions.Calibrate instrumentation (e.g., flow meters, pressure transducers).Program VFDs and servo drives.Stay updated on automation technologies and industry trends.Document and track automation systems and changes.Follow safety regulations and use proper PPE.Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures. Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.At least 3 years of experience in automation, with expertise in PLCs and HMIs, including advanced programming and configurations (B&R Automation, Rockwell Automation, or Automation Direct preferred).Strong knowledge of VFD and servo motor control systems.Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (EthernetIP, ModbusRTU, ModbusTCP, CanOpen, Powerlink).Proficient in industrial instrumentation, including level, pressure, flow, temperature, proximity, reed, laser distance, and through-beam sensors. Benefits and Perks:Pay: $85,000 – $130,000 annuallyDirect Hire Opportunity Your New Organization:Join a leading manufacturer and distributor of recycled rubber products, this company specializes in innovative and sustainable solutions for various industries.
