Job Description
As an Automation Engineer, your day would be dynamic and engaging, focusing on both technical and customer-facing tasks. You would start your day with a team meeting to discuss ongoing projects, sales targets, and new customer inquiries, ensuring alignment with the engineering and project management teams. Following this, you would review emails and respond to customer inquiries, providing technical support and setting up meetings with potential clients. Throughout the day, you might visit customer sites or conduct virtual demos to showcase the capabilities of robotic systems, understand customer needs, and discuss solutions. You would also spend time creating or updating technical documentation and proposals, detailing the specifications of robotic systems and outlining their benefits. Collaboration with the engineering team would be a key part of your role, ensuring that customer requirements are met and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You would work with AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and simulation tools like RobotStudio to design new robotic systems and test prototypes. Maintaining strong customer relationships is crucial, so you would follow up with customers to provide additional information and address any concerns. Internal reporting on sales activities, project progress, and customer feedback would keep the management team informed about the status of various projects and sales efforts.
