Automation Engineer

Description

The Automation Engineer will have the opportunity to interface directly with customers and within all levels of the organization and make a difference for our customer base. This is an important role that is responsible for multiple aspects of the automation equipment.

Optimize and develop membrane filtration processes and process control.

Perform complete system I/O check prior to shipment to confirm proper wiring and airline terminations per project documents (P&ID, Electrical, Pneumatic and so on).

Develop PLC and HMI programs/software utilizing P&ID, Electrical and Pneumatic drawing documents, customer specifications and associated project documents and/or information.

Take direction and assist as required the Automation Engineering staff for project development and implementation during the development phase.

Take direction and assist as required Automation Engineering staff with customer site membrane system I/O checks, pre-commissioning start up and final full commissioning of membrane systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- BS degree in Electrical, Process, Chemical, or Automation Engineering

- 3+ years' experience working with Automation and Controls Engineering

- 3+ years' experience with PLC/HMI programming (Allen Bradley)

- Experience working within a process controls environment (food and bev, dairy, food processing)

- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% (Domestic, some International)

- 3+ years' experience with install and commissioning of equipment

- Experience with P&ID's (piping and instrumentation diagrams)

- Experience interfacing with customers is preferred

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00
