Position Summary This position is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to identify, implement and support automation initiatives Essential Duties & Responsibilities + Plan, design and execute development of automation of testing and production processes for a variety of business software applications, enterprise, and complex billing systems + Plan, organize, and direct project activities including development of process automation and automated testing + Create test plans, data, procedures and manual and/or automated scripts for project and standard work + Identify opportunities for automation within software processes + Participate in reviews of business requirements and application designs + Ensure proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specifications + Identify and recommend strategies and methods to improve test plans and process automation + Recommend improvements to existing automation + Troubleshoot and correct issues when a scheduled automation script fails + Write and reproduce accurate automation script documentation + Create and maintain specification documents and standard operating procedures for new and existing automation. + Define and implement automated testing and process improvements focused on time savings and accuracy + Develop and execute test automation for projects + Ensure test environments reflect business requirements for proof of concept and development of automation + Review and report result of script executions . + Work with the business to define regression tests + Define and coordinate production verification and validation + Analyze and report overall test status and results + Identify opportunities for continuous improvement + Collaborate with teams to ensure proper knowledge sharing + Maintain the status of project tasks and other direct assignments + Maintain user/external group and vendor relationships + Maintain the security of confidential information + Stay abreast of advances in technology + Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance + Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned .. Supervisory and/or Leadership Responsibilities None Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Proven problem-solving skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration, or processing information + Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service + Knowledge of software testing + Knowledge of the software process including analysis, design, coding, system integration and user acceptance testing, problem resolution and planning + Knowledge of moderate applications development and/or system administration knowledge + Skilled in time management + Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities + Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment + Ability to learn robotic process automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning + Ability to work on moderately complex assignments or multiple phases of a project. + Ability to execute automated tests and production processes and report results. + Ability to use test and production automation frameworks and tools to automate manual tasks. + Ability to integrate automated tests into test suites. ... + Ability to convert test automation to production automation + Ability to lead manual and/or automated test projects using test frameworks and tools + Ability to clearly document test and production automation + Ability to establish project plans for small projects. + Ability to multi- task + Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision + Ability to monitor test activities of team members + Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing + Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing + Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze and resolve conflict and problems .... Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience) + Bachelor’s Degree in a related field + Directly related experience may substitute for education + Three years of directly related work experience, including two years of development and ERP / CRM experience + Experience with task automation, scripting in C# and SQL (Oracle and SQL Server), Ranorex and/or Bitbucket, working in an agile IT environment preferred. + Prior electric utility experience preferred + ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Certification preferred + Valid Texas Driver’s License Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
