Main Responsibilities:
Collect the latest automation software backups (PLC, SCADA, VFD, etc.) and prepare a technical specification for request for quotation related to the field of electrical engineering and automation. Support all the potential suppliers during filed visits and scope definition. Participate to design work at all stages of the automation modernization project. Check the project and assembly documentation. Installation supervision and commissioning work on the project for the modernization of the instrumentation, control system and MCC upgrade.Supervision of commissioning and final acceptance. Guaranty the process and installation safety. Be responsible of the management of change procedures. Develop and keep updated cause and effect matrix based on existing software with process engineer. Eliminate defects and errors with product and software development. Collaborate with other business units (Operations, IT, Industry 4.0, etc.). Contract and third-party management. Definitions related to the infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks. Integration and data communication between the most diverse layers of the network, following applicable cybersecurity protocols. Support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity. Interaction with process historians, enabling communications and data for deeper analysis. Interaction with different communication protocols (Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.).
Education / Skills:
Background: Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Computer Science, or similar field. +/- 3 years of experience as an automation engineer or automation project engineer preferably in oilseed industry or oil & gas industry. Fluent in Spanish and advanced English. Availability for non-frequently travels. Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
