**Automation Engineer** Automation Engineer for Chesterfield, MO to lead engineering projects related to automation of mechanical equipment & R&D production systems in accordance with objectives, schedules and budgets; lead preparation of specifications, drawings, Bills of Materials, test procedures & related engineering documentation; lead execution of check-out, commissioning, testing, start-up & field support activities; identify & resolve design risks; lead safety reviews & document safety strategies; contribute to improvement of engineering procedures, standards & practices; partner with cross-functional engineers, customers & suppliers; mentor junior engineers. Requires Master’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering or closely-related field & 1 yr experienceautomating mechanical and/or production safety systems; performing automated system discovery, design, prototyping, integration, validation & quality assurance testing; performing and/or contributing to project planning, scheduling, cost control & requirements development; working as part of a cross-functional engineering team to execute multiple mechanical automation projects simultaneously; writing technical engineering documents, including part and/or assembly drawings, project plans, schedules, requirements & operator and/or maintenance manuals; building, assembling and/or adjusting mechanical automation equipment using hand tools; using 3-D CAD software to design mechanical automation systems; and troubleshooting & resolving mechanical functional issues with automation equipment. Up to 10% U.S. & int’l travel req’d.
