Automation Engineer
Job Title: Automation Engineer Job Description Join our team as an Automation Engineer at a 457,000 square foot aseptic 'fill and finish' site responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. As part of a global network of manufacturing professionals, you will focus on several key final production processes, including sterile formulation, filling, inspection, device assembly, and packaging. Responsibilities + Troubleshoot automation and control systems, and batch processes. + Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production operations. + Operate and inspect manufacturing equipment routinely. + Adjust work schedule to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation. + Travel internationally and domestically as necessary. Essential Skills + BA/BS in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 2-5 years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, and/or packaging systems. + Experience with PLC programming (Siemens and Allen Bradley). + Knowledge of SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL. + Strong project management skills, including planning, organization, execution, and follow-up. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. + Knowledge of clean utilities, inspection, GMP, pharma controls engineering, design, HMI, and packaging lines. + Ability to work in an open office environment with potential distractions. + Ability to adjust schedule to work with colleagues in other time zones. Work Environment This is an onsite role in a pharmaceutical manufacturing area, specifically on the Engineering side that supports the business. The facility operates 24/7. The position is for the 1st shift, with one week on call by rotation. You will have the ability to remote in and will be provided with a separate cell phone. A new recreation facility is being built for employees and their families to utilize. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
