Automation Engineer

The Intelligent Automation Team is looking for an Automation Engineer to focus on Cloud AI/ML Engineering. This resource will design, develop, and operate intelligent automation applications, leveraging AI tools across the full engineering stack of Equifax's automation technologies (ex: Vertex AI, AutoML, CloudDLP, DocAI).

This position does not offer immigration sponsorship (current or future) including F-1 STEM OPT extension support.

This position can be based in Alpharetta, GA. This resource should be local to Atlanta and will be required to work from our Alpharetta location.

Corporate Return To Office expectations:  Onsite weekly requirements each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.

What you will do

Hands-on experience in AI projects from conception to deployment , ensuring alignment with Business Goals 

Design, develop and implement AI Agents capable of autonomous decision-making 

Develop AI models - design and develop AI/ML models to solve complex problems

Collaborate with internal and external teams(engineers, architects, stakeholders) to integrate AI Solutions into business processes.

Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, extract insights for model development.

Be responsible for working on building, automating, and managing AI/ML models supporting infrastructure deployment services that target Equifax’s Public Cloud Environments.

Build pipelines for deploying AI/ML models into the Equifax production environment.

Design and implement orchestration/workflows that integrate multiple services to provide self-service fully automated services.

Provide input on the future execution of the delivery and management of environments with a strong emphasis on automation, security, scalability and resilience


What experience you need

BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience required (Master’s Degree preferred

Minimum of 5 to 7 years of related work experience

Experience using one or more automation languages (Python required), PowerShell & Go preferred).

Experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in Python  that will include advanced experience with Python, ETL pipelines, data warehousing concepts.

Solid knowledge of NLP, LLMs (training, fine-tuning) for Agentic AI application.

Experience in one or more cloud environments (GCP preferred).

What could set you apart

Master’s Degree preferred; AI/ML coursework preferred.

Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred.

Certification in automation desired

Experience with programming languages (Java, C#, JavaScript) preferred.

Experience with one or more other technologies (NLP, LLMs, Big Data, AI/ML, etc).

Experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions from ideation to prod (design, work breakdown, develop, deliver).

Experience with solutions within Equifax’s automation tech stack:  Google AI services (ex: Vertex AI, AutoML, CloudDLP, DocAI)
