Position: Automation & Equipment Engineering (Robot and vision system)
Location: Latkrabang , Bangkok
Responsibilities;
Define software requirements and technical specifications of new industrial equipment / automation solution
Develop robot software applications for industrial automation
Develop vision system software applications for industrial automation
Modify, upgrade and improve robot and vision system software of existing equipment
Validate, qualify, install new equipment and automation solutions
Define and develop robot and vision software standard libraries
Write technical documentation
Coordinate and supervise external suppliers in software development activites relative to outsourced machines
Technical support
Technical Skills and Professional Knowledge;
Good knowledge of industrial automation. 4-6 years experience in industrial equipment design and development
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawing
Good knowledge of vision systems and their applications
Good knowledge of industrial robots and their applications
Excellent robot programming skills (ABB is a must; Epson, Fanuc, UR are considered a plus)
Excellent knowledge of robot software offline programming with simulation tools (ABB RobotStudio)
Excellent vision system programming skills with commercial libraries (Cognex considered a plus)
Basic knowledge of vision system programming without commercial libraries (e.g. Matlab)
Excellent knowledge of communication protocols for industrial automation
Excellent analytical skills and problem solving attitude
Continous improvement attitude
Team player
Management and organizational skills
Availability to travel for business trips (Thailand, China, India, Europe).
