JR66796 Automation Equipment Technician

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while working in partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers and tool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

Responsibilities:

Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing processDismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawingsUse test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkoutsPerform equipment modifications as directed by engineersPerform Preventive Maintenance and necessary equipment calibrationsBe responsible for meeting shift critical metric (Key Performance Indicators) ensuring equipment operating in specified performance levelsPrepare shift reports and conduct shift passdownsLead CIP (Continuous Improvement Projects) with fellow team membersAnalyze equipment data to make recommendations for advanced troubleshootingPerform housekeeping for a clean and safe work environmentCommunicate and collaborate with fellow operation partners to expeditiously resolve production line issues

Requirements

Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or automation-related fieldsCertificates from technical or vocational education with relevant course of study preferably relevant to automation-related fieldsPreferably with 2 years of working experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environmentSelf-starter, inquisitive and hands-on attitude with safety mentality
