Apply now for the position as an Automation Informatics Specialist (AIS). You will be working independently, serves as a subject matter expert, applying clinical laboratory and information technology skills for the end-to-end support through the product lifecycle of Siemens Healthineers Laboratory Diagnostics automation and informatics solutions. They apply their knowledge and experience to analyze solution deployment needs, gathering customer requirements in designing an integrated, scalable and comprehensive solution. The specialist delivers customer training and post implementation technical support. Activities may be performed on site, by phone or remotely through remote connectivity applications and requires coordination with Siemens project managers, customer Information Technology departments, Laboratory Information System support and laboratory staff.
Key responsibilities
Work with primary stakeholders, applying clinical laboratory and Information Technology (IT) to analyze solution deployment needs; gather customer requirements; design an integrated, scalable and comprehensive automation and/ or informatics solution.Partner with the customer regarding required infrastructure for the software applications, configuring the application to meet customer expectations, establishing and verifying connectivity, functional testing, and troubleshooting.Tasked with customer training and workflow operations across informatic and automation solutions.The AIS should possess an above average knowledge level of Siemens automation & informatics systems and will become a subject matter expert through this role.Must be able to multi-task and coordinate with a complex network of departments throughout all levels of an organization, such as sales representatives, lab managers, project managers, IT personnel, Hospital Information System and Laboratory Information Systems personnel, internal and external vendors/ contractors and senior level management as needed. AConsult and advise customers on specific workflow decisions based on best demonstrated practices allowing the successful integration of automation and informatics solutions.Demonstrate the leadership and expertise to mentor Technical Application Specialists on automation and informatics solutions. Product lifecycle support activities including fielding queries, troubleshooting and solving problems, and following the established escalation process.As business needs change, key responsibilities may require assignment to special projects within Siemens Healthineers or training on additional products.Able to travel 100%Previous experience preferred with following technologies:
Interface protocols for ASTM and HL7, Windows Server operating systems, Windows Desktop operating systems, database management, virtualization, network and device connectivity to include TCP/IP, DHCP, Static IP, Routing, Serial and Ethernet, firewall and NAT. Experience with following considered a plus: OSI Model, VISIO, Project Management software.Certification in one or more of the following preferred: Medical Technologist/ Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technician, ITF+, A+, Net+, Sec+, CySA+, CASP+, PenTest+, SecurityX, MCSE or equivalents.Experience in the hospital or laboratory information systems environment. Familiarity with laboratory workflow and operations strongly preferred with a background as a medical technologist being ideal, however other work experience within the lab environment would be acceptable. Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, organization, project management and attention to detail required. Has the skill to solve complex problems and to translate technical issues into non-technical terms. Requires ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while accepting responsibility and prioritizing without significant management intervention. The base pay range for this position is
Min $86,700 - Max $130,000Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
