Automation Installation Trainer

Job Description

Develop, maintain and deliver training programs to employees and customers. Work with the Installation and Automation Support teams to identify training needs and develop presentations, videos, documentation, and related content to support the Automation Solutions group.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Lead and assist in developing training program components and/or methods of training.Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to interact with others to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.Work with Supervisor, Installation Managers, Engineering, Solution Architects, Technical Documentation, HR, IT and Customer Service to ensure all training materials are consistently up to date on processes and product specifications.Communicate professionally with team members regularly regarding training performance, expectations, development needs, strengths, and areas of focus.Travel with installers to document issues, functions, and procedures to be distributed to other team members.Engage team members to understand the work environment, train on specific tasks, develop trouble shooting expertise and/or provide coaching.Assessment and documentation of employees in procedural competencies.Revise instructional material documents based on current requirements/practices.Initiate, review, and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility.Train to and comply with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.


Qualifications

High School/GED General Studies required2+ Years of truss related or training related experience requiredAbility to read and understand prints and schematicsAbility to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch incrementsAble to use Microsoft Office Applications

Excellent public speaking skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively train on safe and effective operations of equipment and processes, utilizing learning techniques and constructively delivers feedback on training progress.Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, perform complex tasks, organize, and follow through consistently and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills (communicate at all levels of the organization)Excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills.Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills.

Additional Requirements

Valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance required.


Physical Demands

This role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role, the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes. This may will result in being exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes and navigate around factory machines.
