Automation Maintenance Tech

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for an Automation Maintenance Mulit-craft Tech to provide maintenance support to the facility's automation equipment. This position will serve to ensure day-to-day operation and reliability.
Schedules for this role will be 12-hours non-rotating shifts (7PM-7AM) or (7AM to 7PM).

This position is located in Aiken, South Carolina.

Responsibilities:

Participate in pre-shift meetings with SupervisorsComplete scheduled PMs as assignedComplete and input work ordersReplace faulty or broken components on automation equipmentInspect/PM wheels/casters/brushes on automation equipmentInspect/PM battery chargers for automation equipmentInspect/PM/Clean reflectors associated with automation equipment operationPerform general maintenance tasks related to automationAssist in start-up/shut-down of automation equipment coming in and out of plant outagesComplete and input work orders for red flag mechanical or electrical failuresFollow-up on production issuesCoordinate and participate with higher level technician/electrician to repair automation issues that are above the technician's skill levelAdhere to shift attendance policies and work overtime as requiredSupport Supervisor(s), Process Engineer(s) and Department Manager(s)Attend trainings as necessary (Safety, soft skills, technical skills, etc.) Ensure compliance with LOTO training Ensure compliance with PIT training Ensure compliance with electrical safety trainingEnsure compliance with all Shaw Safety Policies, Human Resource Policies & Standards of ConductComplete DOS as a part of growth and developmentAutomation equipment includes but is not limited to cobots, AGVs, robotic arms, ASRSs, auto doffers, etc.Ensure daily housekeeping is upheld

Requirements:

Basic computer knowledgeNo written or final disciplinary warnings for attendance or job performance in the past yearWillingness to continuously learn Twisting and upstream production processes Good background in basic mechanical and electrical workDisplay good work habitsDisplay effective communication skillsDemonstrate good leadership qualitiesAbility to have crucial conversations with assigned associates as neededGED or high school diploma

Previous leadership experiencePrevious experience in Twisting process
