Automation Maintenance Technician

General Responsibility – Will promote a quality culture through leadership and training in quality best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on assigned equipment and instrumentation Auxiliary Equipment to include: Conveyors; Automation; Blenders; Dryers; Tapers; Hot Runner Controllers; Thermarator’s; other. Plant Utilities to include: Air Compressors; Granulators and associated equipment; Rail Unload System, and Vacuum system. Communicate with lead, supervisor and production personnel to ensure efficient operations Responsible for organization and housekeeping of plant utilities areas, the maintenance cage and the auxiliary equipment storage areas. Perform other related duties as required. Must follow all safety procedures, which includes wearing required PPE.
Minimum Qualifications:
Job related experience with troubleshooting of one to three years or more. Able to read electrical, and pneumatic prints. Must become lift truck certified in reasonable amount of time. Must be able to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform duties within small areas, as small as 2 ft x 2 ft. PLC experience preferred, but not required.
