Automation Maintenance Technician
**TRAVEL CNC/Automation Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** + We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician with experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines. The ideal candidate will handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance, working on a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, and robotics. + You will work with over 35 OEM machine brands and handle equipment such as P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools. + You will also be responsible for repairing CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines + Handle electrical maintenance for automation machine tools + Work with CNC mills, lathes, machining centers, and robotics + Repair equipment with controllers from Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon + Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems + Connect a laptop to machines for diagnostics and repairs + Use MMS system to generate work orders and log maintenance activities + Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment **Work Environment** Manufacturing facility. Climate controlled and very clean. Machine Shop production environment. Off-shift schedules available: 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 11:30 pm),3rd shift (11:30 pm - 7:30 am) or weekend (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am). During the first 2-4 weeks, candidates can expect 40 hours a week on days for training before moving to their assigned shifts. **Job Type & Location** This is a traveling contract position located in Lafayette, Indiana.
