Make your mark for patients
We are looking for an Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is customer oriented, innovative, and collaborative to join our BelTech Automation team, based in our campus in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium.
About the Role
As an Automation SME, you will ensure good engineering practices, design, and support meet UCB expectations and strategy through all Manufacturing Facilities in Belgium (24/24 guard). You will be responsible for providing timely support and deliverables aligned with business needs, ensuring the right quality and adherence to budget. You will also manage risks, participate in shutdown interventions, and ensure efficient handover to operation teams.
Who You Will Work With
You will collaborate with a passionate team within the BelTech Automation department. Together, you will work closely with Automation Integrators, Process, QA Q/V, Maintenance, Utilities, E&I, and other project disciplines. You will also interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of automated installations.
What You Will Do
You develop and maintain automation documentation and software.You participate in workshops to ensure alignment with different companies and disciplines.You follow up on Automation Integrator and Vendor Packages.You ensure automation deliverables follow GMP and HSE regulations.You organize operator training and perform handover to operation teams.You manage punch lists, deviations and change controls related to packages/buildings.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Automation.Strong knowledge of cGMP and engineering project management, knowledge of PCS7 (TIA PORTAL is a plus).Excellent communication and collaborative skills.Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle challenging situations.Full proficiency in French and knowledge of technical English.
