AUKUS Automation Specialist 2 -- Nuclear Fuel Services - Erwin, TN Summary Description of Job: Develops the design and installation requirements for automation hardware and software necessary to support Engineering projects. Supports trouble shooting and problem resolution for automation hardware/software issues affecting operations. Major Duties & Responsibilities of Job: 1. Performs automation hardware/software design functions independently with minimal supervisory oversight. 2. Reviews proposed designs and recommends changes that will improve cost, efficiency, and safety. 3. Provides technical support to operations to resolve problems with automation hardware and/or software issues. 4. Provides technical support for installation and maintenance of process instrumentation and PLC hardware. 5. Specifies automation systems in accordance with NEC, ISA, and NFS standards. 6. Guides, direct, and consults with A/E firms, vendors, and construction contractors, as required to fulfill assigned projects. 7. Responsible for individual assignment on project teams. Educational Requirements of Job : A. S. degree -- Electronics or related field OR equivalent experience of 4 years' experience in electronics/PLC hardware or software design/troubleshooting work. Experience Requirements : With A. S. degree, six - eight years' experience in PLC hardware/software design and/or troubleshooting. Supplemental PLC hardware/software training. Without A.S. degree, 10 years' experience in electronics/PLC hardware or software design/troubleshooting work. The base salary range for this position in [[stateProvince]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[cust_salaryMin]] and $[[cust_salaryMax]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
