**Description** Position Work Requirements: 1. Must be skilled and experienced in installation and start-up of DDC control systems as applied in commercial and industrial heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems including chillers (reciprocating and centrifugal), boilers (steam and hot water), refrigeration systems (medium and low temp) and air handling units (packaged and custom). 2. Must be proficient in reading control and construction drawings for installation of control modules, interconnecting wiring and operator’s terminals and assuring accurate connection with electrical, electronic and control sub-systems on commercial and industrial systems. 3. Must be proficient in use of all tools and test equipment used in the installation and start-up of DDC controls, including, but not limited to: hand tools, power tools, notebook PC, digital volt-ohm meter, air flow measurement, etc. 4. Operate head-end (PC’s, etc.) used in facilities management systems. 5. Must be a self-starter and self-directed. 6. Must be articulate with good written and oral communications skills. 7. Must have excellent customer relations. 8. Must provide record keeping on all jobs/work orders. 9. Requires on-call duty to provide emergency service at customer’s sites. Primary Duties: 1. Install basic wiring and controls. 2. Complete and close out Work Orders in the CMMS, enter time worked and materials used. 3. Track all work and time in CMMS. 4. Maintain sensors, thermostats, controllers, valves, actuators, and other HVAC control related equipment. 5. Assist other BAS Automation Specialists. 6. Other duties as assigned.
