**Job Title: Automation Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Automation Technician to join our expanding team. As an Automation Technician, you will work closely with Automation Engineers to ensure that all automated equipment operates according to specifications. This role involves troubleshooting, debugging, start-up, and programming of all automated equipment and upgrades. You will serve as a technical expert for electrical circuits, program logic controls, vision inspection, and automation. You will also coordinate the development and maintenance of effective maintenance specifications and preventative maintenance programs for all equipment. **Hard Skills** + 5+ years experience as an Automation Technician + Expertise in electrical circuits, program logic controls, vision inspection, and automation + Understanding of manufacturing, assembly, sequencing, and equipment principles + Familiarity with HMI and PLC (Allen Bradley) + Capability to troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to software and electrical systems + Experience with Logic Vision systems **Soft Skills** + Strong oral and written communication skills + Customer-focused + Ability to logically think through problems to troubleshoot effectively + Flexibility for off-shift availability and representation **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Warren, Michigan. **Work Environment** This position is based in a newly renovated plant in Michigan, transitioning from Oklahoma. The facility supports major automotive companies including Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. The work environment includes new electrical systems, CNC machining lines, conveyors, carousel assembly equipment, and robotic weld cells. Training for this 2nd shift position will initially take place on 1st shift until November/January. The first shift runs from 7am to 3:30pm, and the second shift from 3pm to 11:30pm.
