Job Title: Automation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Automation Technician to explore and implement new ways to automate theatrical rigging systems. The role involves producing, installing, and testing theatrical automation equipment and systems. You will be responsible for programming and testing new automated components, identifying quality issues, and writing reports. Additionally, you will determine defects and errors in product and software development while collaborating with other companies and systems.

ResponsibilitiesExplore and implement new methods to automate theatrical rigging systems.Produce, install, and test theatrical automation equipment and systems.Program and test new automated components.Identify quality issues and write detailed reports.Determine defects and errors in product and software development.Collaborate with other companies and systems.Essential SkillsExperience with electrical or electronics systems.Electro-mechanical experience.Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment.Programming knowledge and experience with computer programming and software development.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Creative thinking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical skills.Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the development team.Excellent manual dexterity.Willingness to travel (60% of the year).Healthy respect for heights.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates degree or Trade school and applicable experience with electrical and mechanical systems.Experience with motors.Experience with Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.Ability to keep up with the latest technologies.A desire to continually upgrade technical knowledge.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. Must be open to working additional hours as needed. The position requires a healthy respect for heights and the ability to travel if needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00
