We are currently seeking an Automation Technician to be responsible for automated equipment within our manufacturing lines. The facility is not heavily automated, and the equipment includes Epson Robots, Automation Direct/Rockwell PLCs, as well as some hydraulics and pneumatics.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with line implementation effortsOwn the troubleshooting of automated issues occurring within manufacturingHave a foundational understanding of the company's manufacturing process and the automation involvedPerform troubleshooting on Bar Code vision systemsEnsure the operators understand how the automated equipment works prior to usingWork cross functionally with maintenance, the operators, and Automation EngineersAbility to perfect the manufacturing/product processEssential SkillsTechnical associates degree related to engineering (EET, MET, Automation, Advanced Manufacturing, etc.) preferred but not required3+ years of experience working with automated manufacturing equipmentAbility to make minor edits/modifications within a PLC program as well as a robot programVision Systems experience (bar code readers)Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with Automation Direct PLCsDirect experience with Epson RobotsWork Environment

You will be based out of Michigan City, IN, assisting in line implementation. Shifts will be one 1st and one 2nd shift (7pm-7am) Sunday-Wednesday OR Monday-Thursday, 12-hour shifts. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent dependent upon performance. This opportunity offers the responsibility of building your automation experience and supporting a reputable company. You will be eligible to receive 80 hours of PTO and 6 paid holidays.
