Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams.The work model for the role is onsite.This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products division in New Berlin, WI.You will be mainly accountable for:•Preparing technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.•Supporting production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.•Ensuring that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.•Participating in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications for the roleAssociates degree preferred: Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering/science field.2+ years of experience in the field of Controls, Systems, and/or Automation strongly preferred, but not required.Familiarity with Vision systems, digital torque systems, programmable logic controls, robotics, and other automation is a plus.Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing Concepts.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
