Job Title: Automation Technician

Job Description

The Automation Technician will ensure the flow of product from cooling conveyors, through assembly automation, and including all packaging automation to meet customer demand.

ResponsibilitiesKeep product flow consistent on conveyor and correct sequence problems using HMI.Ensure hinges, pins, slow close hinge assemblies are feeding properly into the cell from the bins or upstacker/unstacker.Troubleshoot Auto cell errors and home robots as necessary; Adjust assembly nests per product.Troubleshoot any errors associated with the seat transfer from the Assembly Cells to the Main trunk line.Troubleshoot main trunk line conveyor system and make adjustments as necessary for product flow.Understand the operation of the X-ray hinge inspection and modify hinge profiles as needed for greater accuracy.Setup and troubleshoot problems associated with the setup and operation of packaging cell equipment.Ensure that the hardware feeder is performing as needed and clear all equipment jams.Conduct basic Preventative Maintenance to equipment as directed by supervisor.Document any and all changes and communicate clearly with the Automation Team.Essential SkillsHydraulicsElectricalTroubleshootingMechanicalRepairPreventive maintenanceConveyor maintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsMechanical and electrical experience (Mechanical - 80%, Electrical - 20%)Experience with troubleshooting assembly and conveyor lines such as belt changes, motors swaps, changing bearings, etc.Experience with 3-phase, 480V, Drives, VFDs, etc.Automation/Robotics/PLCs experience is a huge plus, but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Schedule options include 2x2x3 Night Shift (6pm-6am) or M-F Split Shift (10am - 8pm). The facility is clean, organized, and temperature controlled, providing a comfortable work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
