Job Description
As an Automation Technician, you will contribute to the success of our organization by completing customized automation projects for our customers on time and with a high degree of quality.
ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret electrical schematic drawings.Determine appropriate electrical wiring configurations to meet schematic drawings.Wire industrial control panels following schematic drawings.Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.Escalate any concerns or issues to Account Managers related to accuracy of drawings or configurations that may negatively impact functioning of industrial control panel.Complete projects within allocated project hours and by due date.Improve quality of work and personal productivity on a continuous basis.Conduct field service work at customer locations (travel up to 15% of the time).Maintain a clean work area; promptly remove debris.Follow and comply with all safety protocols and work regulations.Maintain reliable and predictable attendance.Essential SkillsExperience in automation, wiring, and reading schematics.Proficiency in wiring control panels and PLC troubleshooting.Knowledge of PLC programming and controls engineering.Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLCs, electrical systems, and robotics.Experience with automation systems and AutoCAD Electrical.1-2 years of experience in reading schematics and wiring industrial control panels.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Computer literacy, including email.Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to other work or client locations.Work Environment
The work environment is light industrial, with exposure to a moderate level of noise. Daily operations include the use of basic power tools, hand tools, and repetitive hand motion in manipulating electrical wires. You will need to sit, stand, and bend at the waist for up to 3 consecutive hours at a time. Reaching above shoulder height for extended periods may be required. You may be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The role involves climbing stairs and moving freely between aisles of parts, equipment, and shelving units. Must be able to carry or lift at least 40 pounds. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
