**Job Title: Automation Technician** **Job Description** The Automation Technician is responsible for the packaging equipment and requires strong Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation skills to include: Rockwell engineering tools, Electrical circuit diagnostics, Instrumentation, Networking and Computer hardware. **Responsibilities** + Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention. + Work with the production team to make rapid, educated decisions regarding the issue at hand and troubleshoot systems, resolve issues by providing investigation, analysis, testing, and follow-up where required. + Test and upgrade all production equipment. Install and test new food manufacturing, packaging, and processing equipment. + Interface with machine tools and special equipment or test modules, troubleshoot existing equipment for electrical or electronics failures, and change or modify machines to improve or update. + Maintenance and Calibration of site Instrumentation. **Essential Skills** + Automation + PLC programming + Troubleshooting + Robotics + Electrical + Controls engineering + Mechanical **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in Industrial Maintenance + Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, PLC + Instrumentation and calibration + Journeyman Card (not required) + Previous food-grade experience + Waste water treatment experience **Why Work Here?** We offer stable work, relocation assistance if needed, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The warehouse is organized by racks and includes a wire room section, and prides itself on maintaining cleanliness. Employees will work specifically in the large pick segment, which features floor-to-ceiling racks and a wire guidance system. Every employee is required to keep their workspace clean and organized. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
