Job Description
The Automation Technician is responsible for the packaging equipment and requires strong Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation skills to include: Rockwell engineering tools, Electrical circuit diagnostics, Instrumentation, Networking and Computer hardware.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in failure analysis, problem solving and prevention.Work with the production team to make rapid, educated decisions regarding the issue at hand and troubleshoot systems, resolve issues by providing investigation, analysis, testing, and follow-up where required.Test and upgrade all production equipment. Work Environment
The work environment is a very large, fast-paced warehouse of over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors, containing various electrical parts. The warehouse is organized by racks and includes a wire room section, and prides itself on maintaining cleanliness. Employees will work specifically in the large pick segment, which features floor-to-ceiling racks and a wire guidance system. Every employee is required to keep their workspace clean and organized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
