Job Description

We are seeking an Automation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with automated equipment within our manufacturing lines. You will be working with Epson Robots, Automation Direct / Rockwell PLCs, and some hydraulics and pneumatics.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with line implementation effortsOwn the troubleshooting of automated issues occurring within manufacturingHave a foundational understanding of the manufacturing process and the automation involvedPerform troubleshooting on Bar Code vision systemsEnsure the operators understand how the automated equipment works prior to usingWork cross-functionally with maintenance, operators, and Automation EngineersPerfect the manufacturing/product processEssential SkillsTechnical associate degree related to engineering (EET, MET, Automation, Advanced Manufacturing, etc.)3+ years of experience working with automated manufacturing equipmentAbility to make minor edits/modifications within a PLC program as well as robot programExperience with Vision Systems (bar code readers)Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with Automation Direct PLCsDirect experience with Epson RobotsWork Environment

You will be based out of Michigan City, IN, assisting in line implementation. You will train on first shift, then work on second shift. Shift-2nd shift (7pm-7am) Sunday-Wednesday OR Monday-Thursday, 12 hours per shift. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility to go permanent based on performance. You will be eligible to receive 80 hours of PTO and 6 paid holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
