QUALIFICATIONS:

BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field) 5+ years of software quality assurance experience Experience in both manual and automation testing Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing Experience in project management and QA methodology (STLC) Experience in smoke testing, sanity testing, and integration testing Experience in creating test plans and test summary reports

LEADERSHIP:

Deliver initial estimates of the testing effort needed for new developments and functional enhancements Participate in daily stand-up meetings and defect triage calls Work with third-party suppliers for defect management (JIRA, GitLab) Monitor, measure, control, and report to management on test progress, product quality, test results, and test completion Provide leadership and guidance to the test team on best practices, mentoring, and supporting team members' training and growth plans Manage resources effectively to ensure utilization is maximized, aligned to plan, budget, and timeframes

TESTING:

Define, design, and deliver all testing work, including functional testing, system integration testing, regression, and support user acceptance testing (undertaken by subject matter experts within the business) Document queries and defects and provide adequate data to allow rapid resolution Review testing requirements for change requests, assessing the impact on test plans and schedules Improve and maintain an automation framework using Selenium and BDD, as well as the testing framework Creation of both manual and automated test scripts Ensure configuration management of all test artifacts produced and traceability of the tests to the test basis Drive standards and best practices in QA and testing, champion the adoption of continuous quality improvement through automation Identify test automation opportunities, plan the effort, select the tools, and ensure team training

Actively manage performance, prioritize work effectively, allocate and achieve individual/team objectives, and meet quality gate criteria

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL):

Previous hands-on experience as a test lead working with developers, product specialists, business analysts, project managers, testers, and business stakeholders Broad knowledge of the software development lifecycle (Agile), cloud technologies, functional and non-functional test methodologies Experience testing websites and applications on a large scale Deep knowledge of test automation frameworks Automation expertise in Selenium and BDD Knowledge and experience in performance testing, API testing, and cross-browser testing Relevant and demonstrable experience managing relationships with business and external stakeholders Proven track record in delivering on time Strong knowledge of programming (Java) using OOPS concepts Relevant experience in Maven, Git, and Jenkins Demonstrated experience with mobile automation (Appium) – preferred Defect tracking via different defect tracking/management tools (specifically JIRA) and automation testing tools (functional regression and system testing) Experience in root cause analysis and defect diagnosis techniques Ability to document software defects and report defects to developers and project managers
