The Automotive ADAS Technician Senior will provide electric vehicle and mobility equipment, advanced diagnostic, technology expertise and end of line (EOL) autonomous vehicle equipment commissioning support. The Automotive ADAS Technician Senior will mentor and oversee team members’ technical deliverables to ensure Roush and customer standards are met.
As an Automotive ADAS Technician Senior, you will be responsible for:
Diagnosing in depth physical and operational electronic and assembly issues using supplied and created hardware and software combinationsCommunicating with cross functioning teams on advanced electrical and electronic systems and autonomous control systems.Following provided work instructions such as tech papers, schematics, 2D and 3D prints, cut sheets, and sample harnessesValidating DAT (Driver Assist Technologies), ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems), AV(Autonomous Vehicle) and EV (Electric Vehicle) systems functionalityAssembling, modifying, and repairing wiring harnesses from schematics, using hand tools and proper assembly and rework techniquesTraining, coaching, and mentoring team members related to their job responsibilities and be available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customersValidating quality of wire harness assemblies and system installationsWorking in small teams to complete daily engineering requirementsTracking inventory of project parts and supplies.Maintaining clean and organized workspaceTo be considered as an Automotive ADAS Technician Senior, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 8 years of mechanical, electrical or instrumentation experience.Minimum of 3 years of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), Electric Vehicle (EV), or Autonomous Vehicle (AV) experienceValid driver's licenseAbility to travel 30% of the timeExcellent proficiency in the creation, modification, and installation of wiring systems and harnessesAble to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.Effective written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and OutlookExcellent fluency with use of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software and good knowledge of vehicle integration software and data collectionA successful candidate may also have:
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Certification (L4).Associate degree in Engineering Technology or similarFamiliar with the use of oscilloscope or picoscope
