Assistant Managers’ are certified and proficient in all areas of store operations and responsible for overseeing teammates and ensuring that all policies, procedures, and services are performed to Jiffy Lube’s highest standards. They also ensure that all teammates are technically proficient, and all certification standards are up to date. These are our resident experts who ensure quality workmanship to get our guests back on the road. This is an important job in our Jiffy Lube stores and critical to our success. And every J-Team member receives comprehensive training from Jiffy Lube University, our award-winning training program. We even offer Ace Accreditation of up to 32 college credits for completion and certification of Jiffy Lube University courses.

Qualifications

Previous experience is essential and requires a minimum of 2 years working for a dealership, automotive shop, tire center or quick lube. Simply put, we're lookin for people who can provide exceptional leadership and the ability to inspire a high-performance team.


Job Duties Include, but are not limited to…

Provide Jiffy Lube Guests’ with exceptional and world class customer serviceProvide store-level leadership to teammates through coaching, training, scheduling and performance managementFace to face interaction with the quests, including problem resolutionIncreasing sales, improving store profitability, and reducing expensesManaging store inventory, product ordering and receivingAssisting Techs perform Jiffy Lubes’ Signature Service oil change and servicing filters, fluids, wipers, tire rotations and other services and repairs

Physical Qualifications

Assistant Managers must expect to stand for long periods of time on hard surfaces, like concrete or metal, and expect to work in an environment in which you may frequently experience hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, and exhaust fumes.

Must be able to operate equipment such as overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, transmission machine, air conditioner service machine, radiator service machine, hand tools and basic shop equipmentMust be able to lift and move work-related items up to 25 poundsMust be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed Requirements Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skillsEnergetic, hardworking, and able to multi-taskShow initiative, responsibility, and must be reliableGood interpersonal and communication skillsA positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team playerMust have a valid driver’s license and authorized to work in the U.S.Must complete all required training courses through Jiffy Lube University
