Job Description

We are hiring an Automotive Engineering Technician for an automotive research and development environment focused on Wind Tunnel Testing. This is a long-term role where you will prepare and conduct aerodynamic wind tunnel tests to support our innovative projects.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare both 40% scale and/or full-scale vehicle/model components and systems for testing.Return equipment and vehicles to pre-test condition after testing is complete.Support aerodynamics engineers during physical tests by making parts changes to support aerodynamic specification setting.Conduct routine maintenance and checks of test equipment.Operate data acquisition equipment and analysis software as needed.Conduct basic equipment setup diagnostics and troubleshooting.Maintain a log of maintenance and conduct periodic walk-thrus and equipment checks.Order supplies and equipment as necessary.Travel to offsite testing locations to support tests as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with oil changes, brake systems, and tire rotations.Experience as an Automotive Technician.Experience in Automotive Testing.Associate Degree in Automotive.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.Ability to operate data acquisition equipment and analysis software.Work Environment

You will work in a Wind Tunnel Technician environment, supporting high-tech research and development projects. This role may require travel to offsite testing locations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00
