Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Engineering Technician focused on supporting Crash Test Simulation. This position involves direct, daily interaction with our Engineering Staff, including Design and Test teams. The role requires working collaboratively in an atmosphere with our engineering group, often creating testing improvements and engineering countermeasures.
ResponsibilitiesPerform daily assigned tasks in support of crash test simulations.Research new tools or processes and propose improvements to leadership.Provide safe, accurate, and efficient test services.Perform diverse and complex technical assignments, including set-up, testing, fabrication, and supporting calculations.Conduct moderate analysis and compile/organize technical data.Prepare reports and make recommendations based on test results.Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment in the respective area.Identify and resolve routine and moderately complex problems.Plan activities within specific guidelines to meet deadlines with minimal instruction.Essential Skills8+ years of closely related experience or an associate's degree and 6+ years of experience.Strong skills in engineering, troubleshooting, electronics, and mechanical work.Experience with oscilloscopes and automotive technician tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in a related field.Experience with dynamometers (Dyno).Work Environment
This role involves working in a crash safety lab with direct interaction with engineering staff. The environment is collaborative, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. The position requires the use of various technical equipment and tools, including oscilloscopes and dynamometers. The work atmosphere is designed to be a place where people want to be a part of.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
