Automotive Financial Manager - OEM level - Northern Suburbs
Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
Oversee the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and accounting principles Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's growth and success Analyze financial data and provide strategic insights to management Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies Lead and manage a team of financial professionals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial objectives with business strategy. Identify and mitigate financial risks Manage cash flow and treasury operations Implement and maintain financial systems and processes Daily tasks will include but not limited to control of sales receipts related to vehicle inventory financed through dealer and customer floorplans, bank statement balances to be checked for completeness of posting, review of debtors aging for dealers and fleet customers, ensuring accuracy of import costs incurred on stock, ensuring timeous processing of payments and allocations and daily stock sales status updates Preparation of month end reporting pack Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field Professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CFA is preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position, in a dealership or OEM Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in financial software and systems Experience in the automotive industry is essential
